Liquidity is the ability of the company to meet the obligations that must be paid. Profitability is the ratio between the income or capital assets that generate such profits and expressed as a percentage. This study aims to determine the effect of non-performing loans and liquidity to profitability either simultaneously or partially. The method used in this research is descriptive and verification with quantitative approach. The population of this research is financial statements of banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2011-2015. The sample in this study is six banking companies. The test statistic used is multiple linear regression analysis, the classical assumption test, Pearson correlation coefficient test, test the coefficient of determination, hypothesis testing, and using the assistance program SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results showed simultaneously performing loans and liquidity significant effect on profitability. While partially shows the ratio of nonperforming loans carry a significant effect on the profitability and liquidity not significant effect on profitability.)

Kredit bermasalah didefinisikan sebagai pinjaman yang mengalami kesulitan pelunasan atau sering disebut kredit macet pada bank. Likuiditas merupakan kemampuan perusahaan dalam memenuhi kewajiban yang harus segera dibayar. Profitabilitas merupakan perbandingan antara laba dengan aktiva atau modal yang menghasilkan laba tersebut dan dinyatakan dalam persentase.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rasio kredit bermasalah dan likuiditas terhadap profitabilitas baik secara simultan maupun parsial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode desktiptif dan verifikatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah laporan keuangan perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2011-2015. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 6 perusahaan perbankan. Pengujian statistik yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda, uji asumsi klasik, uji koefisien korelasi pearson, uji koefisien determinasi, uji hipotesis, dan menggunakan program bantuan aplikasi SPSS 16.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukan secara simultan rasio kredit bermasalah dan likuiditas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Sedangkan secara parsial menunjukan bawa rasio kredit bermasalah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas dan likuiditas berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap profitabilitas.
