Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana Kegiatan Promosi Undian Telepon Rumah PT. Telkom Kandatel Bandung terhadap peningkatan minat pelanggan di Geger Kalong Bandung.







Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah deskriptif, yaitu metode yang menggambarkan atau melukiskan keadaan objek penelitian berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang objektif. Tehnik pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Angket, Wawancara, dan Studi Pustaka. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah para pelanggan telepon rumah pada bulan Mei 2009, Tehnik Sampling yang peneliti gunakan adalah Accidental Sampling.







Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa isi pesan dan media promosi dalam peningkatan minat pelanggan adalah 53 orang (53%) sangat baik dan 47 orang (47%) cukup baik, penggunaan media 51 orang (51%) sangat baik dan 49 orang (49%) cukup baik, perhatian pelanggan yaitu 49 orang (49%) sangat baik dan 51 orang (51%) cukup baik. Dan Efektivitas kegiatan promosi terhadap Perhatian, keinginan yaitu kesan yang bermanfaat adalah perhatian 62 orang (62%) sangat baik dan 38 orang (38%) cukup baik, keinginan yaitu 62 orang (62%) sangat baik dan 38 orang (38%) cukup baik, serta kesan yang bermanfaat yaitu 53 orang (53%) sangat baik dan 47 orang (47%) cukup baik. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pelanggan memiliki perhatian, keinginan, dan kesan yang bermanfaat terhadap program yang dilakukan oleh PT. Telkom Kandatel Bandung. Dalam hal ini berarti penyampaian promosi yang dilakukan oleh Public Relations PT. Telkom Kandatel Bandung memperoleh penilaian yang positif dalam meningkatkan minat pelanggannya untuk selalu menggunakan telepon rumah.







Kesimpulan dari penelitian yang dilaksanakan oleh peneliti, menunjukan bahwa kegiatan promosi sangat bermanfaat, karena dapat membantu para pelanggan dalam memberikan informasi yang lebih mengenai telepon rumah khususnya di Wilayah Geger Kalong Bandung.







Saran peneliti setelah melaksanakan penelitian ini sebaiknya kegiatan promosi undian telepon rumah yang dilakukan oleh PT. Telkom Kandatel Bandung didukung pula oleh alat promosi lainnya, seperti personal selling. Hal ini demi menjangkau masyarakat yang lebih luas lagi. Sehingga dapat lebih meningkatkan minat pelanggan bahkan

The objective of this research is to identify to which extent the effectiveness of home telephone promotion of PT. Telkom Kandatel Bandung towards the increasing of subscriber’s interest in Geger Kalong Bandung.







The research method used is descriptive, a method describing or depicting the condition of the research object based on the objective facts. Questionnaire, Interview, and Literature Study employed as the data collecting technique. The population was the home telephone subscribers of PT. Telkom Kandatel Bandung in Geger Kalong Bandung in May 2009, whereas the sampling technique employed was Accidental Sampling.







The result of this research shows that the contents of the message and the promotional media improve the subscriber’s interest in 53 persons (53%) and 47 persons (47%) saying that they are good. The use of the media for 51 persons (51%) said that it is excellent and 49 persons (49%) said it is good. The subscriber’s interest shows that 49 persons (49%) said it is excellent and 51 persons (51%) said it is good. The effectiveness of the promotion towards the Attention shows that 62 persons (62%) said that it is excellent and 38 persons (38%) said it is good. The promotion effectiveness towards the Desire shows that 62 persons (62%) said that it is excellent and 38 persons (38%) said it is fairly good. Additionally, the promotion effectiveness towards the Beneficiary Impression shows that 53 persons (532%) said that it is excellent and 47 persons (47%) said it is good. It indicates that the subscribers put their attentions, desire, and beneficiary impressions to the program performed by PT. Telkom Kandatel Bandung. It means that the promotion deliverance performed by the Public Relations of PT. Telkom Kandatel Bandung has obtained a positive valuation in improving the subscriber’s interest for always using home telephone.







It can be concluded that the promotion activity is very useful for it may help the subscribers in acquiring more information regarding home telephone, particularly in Geger Kalong, Bandung.







From this research, the writer suggests that the promotion to be supported with any promotional instruments, personal selling for example, in order to cover wider subscriber’s districts. Additionally, the subscriber’s interests may get improved as well it can invite society to make use home telephone as their favorite communication device.
