The appropriate objectives or reading skill are as follows. The researcher analyzed the result of the objective of reading skills based on the given instrument. Being able to comprehend English textbook with 68.3% is categorized as appropriate. Being able to comprehend magazine with 30.1% is categorized as absolutely not appropriate. Being able to comprehend newspaper with 26.8% is categorized as absolutely not appropriate. Being able to comprehend internet with 53.6% is categorized as appropriate. Being able to comprehend book story/novel with 34.1% is categorized as absolutely not appropriate. Reading manual of electronics devices, medicine, recipe, etc with 52.8% is categorized as less appropriate. Others (being able to comprehend English article; being able to comprehend all books in English; being able to get more knowledge in English) with 19.5% are categorized as absolutely not appropriate. From the results above, researcher organized them from the highest percentage to the lowest one as follows. The first is being able to comprehend English textbook with 68.3% that is categorized as appropriate. The second is being able to comprehend internet with 53.6% that is categorized as less appropriate. The third is reading manual of electronics devices, medicine, recipe, etc with 52.8% that is categorized as less appropriate. The fourth is being able to comprehend book story/novel with 34.1% that is categorized as absolutely not appropriate. The fifth is being able to comprehend magazine with 30.1% that is categorized as absolutely not appropriate. The sixth is being able to comprehend newspaper with 26.8% that is categorized as absolutely not appropriate. The last is other with 19.5% categorized as absolutely not appropriate. In conclusion, the appropriate objective of learning reading skill according to the students is being able to comprehend English textbook.
